Miracle Service Dog Jake Passes Test With Flying Colors!

Earlier today, one of our Miracle Service Dogs, Jake, took his Public Access Test with his handler Jessica at Walmart Neighborhood Market Joplin – S Maiden Ln and passed with flying colors! Jake was awarded to Jessica’s son, Liam, last year thanks to generous donations to our Miracle Service Dog Program.

The Service Dog Public Access Test is to ensure that dogs certified as Service Dogs are well-behaved and able to perform their trained behaviors in a public setting. The test is also used to demonstrate that the handler has control over the dog and that the dog responds appropriately to insure there is no threat to the public from the dog.

A special thank you to Walmart Neighborhood Market #4478 for allowing us to use their store for Jake’s test and to On Command Canine Training Academy for providing the test.
