Meet Our 2020-2021 Champions!

On May 25, 2014, Isaac and Easton were born at just 26 weeks gestation. The boys faced many battles during their extensive stay in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit before they were strong enough to go home.

Isaac faced a difficult five month NICU stay in which he coded and required resuscitation three times. He also underwent numerous procedures, operations and transfusions. As he has gotten older Isaac has been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, which leads to many sensory issues and difficulties with communication, and experiences seizures. He receives multiple therapies at Freeman Health System and Ozark Center and was awarded a service dog, Murphy, through the Miracle Service Dog Program.

Easton spent four months in the NICU after the boys’ premature birth. Like his brother, he underwent multiple procedures and operations. During his hospitalization he experienced a brain bleed that resulted in a diagnosis of Hemiplegic Cerebral Palsy. This diagnosis has left Easton with left sided weakness, requiring physical therapies, a brace and a walker.

Although these brothers had a rough start and have overcome many obstacles, they continue to defy odds and surpass the goals set out for them. Today they are strong, smart and do not let anything slow them down. Isaac enjoys watching videos on YouTube, puzzles and books. Easton enjoys playing outside and helping their dad take care of his chickens and goats.

As the 2020-2021 Champions they will be featured on all fundraising campaign material at national partner locations. Join us in congratulating Isaac and Easton!
