Local Walmart and Sam’s Club stores raise money for Freeman Health System.

Local Walmart and Sam’s Club stores are once again joining forces to raise money for kids at Freeman Health System during the annual Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals campaign.

Walmart and Sam’s Club associates, customers, and members have been raising money for local kids since 1987. Last year, Walmart and Sam’s Club passed the $1 billion fundraising mark for CMN Hospitals in the U.S. and Canada, the largest amount raised for a nonprofit.

Money is raised primarily through a register campaign where customers and members contribute $1 or more when they checkout. Associates also raise funds in other ways including bake sales, in-store contests, and events. Events like car shows, banner sales, concession stands, community dances and so much more.

In 2018 the campaign raised $184,670 for Freeman Health System! This year’s register campaign runs until July 7th. Customers and members can conveniently donate $1 or more when they check out at any Southwest Missouri, Southeast Kansas or Northeast Oklahoma Walmart or Sam’s Club stores.

Money raised at any of our 19 area Walmart and Sam’s Club stores goes directly to benefit the sick and injured kids treated at Freeman Health System. Funds are used to pay for NICU equipment, pediatric therapies, direct family assistance and so much more.

Customers and members can help spread the word about the campaign via social media using the hashtag #HelpKidsLiveBetter.
