Joplin Sam's Club Raises $69,000 for Freeman Health System

Freeman Health System Chief Development Officer, Blake Bard, speaks to Sam’s Club associates and management at a reception held to honor the club’s fundraising efforts.

Sam’s Club #6415 in Joplin, Missouri took the crown as the top fundraising club in the nation by raising over $69,000 for our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, Freeman Health System. Club Manager, Rob Thomas, says that their local fundraising efforts will actually yield closer to $83,000 with the help of grants and the Walmart/Sam’s Club’s VAP program.

In addition to register donations, Sam’s Club also held a carnival, rummage sale, and sold banners to local businesses that will hang up in the Club for the next year to help increase their funds raised throughout the six-week campaign.

To celebrate their success, a reception was held at the Joplin Club with Sam’s Club regional managers, store associates, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals staff, and local families who have received services through CMN Hospitals. Cake and punch was enjoyed by all!

Local Miracle Family, the Stauffer’s, enjoy cake at the Sam’s Club reception.

Total funds raised from the Walmart and Sam’s Club campaign in the Joplin-Pittsburg market will go towards providing an Angel Eye Camera System in every bed in our 24-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Freeman Health System.
