A Look Back at 2020!
Happy New Year, everyone!
As the past twelve months have been anything but ordinary, one thing has remained constant- the support of our community. From a record-breaking golf tournament to generous donations of PPE, our supporters have shown tremendous devotion to local sick and injured kids and those who care for them. On behalf of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and the families we serve, we would like to extend my deepest gratitude for helping make miracles happen in 2020!
Take a look at a few highlights from our year:
- 21 area Walmart and Sam’s Club stores raised an outstanding $193,500 throughout the year. Nearly $142,000 of this was raised throughout their campaign, which ran through the months of June and July. We would also like to extend a HUGE congratulations to Sam’s Club #6415 for raising a whopping total of $35,607 during the campaign and reclaiming their spot as the #1 fundraising Sam’s Club in the nation!
- 2020 was a record breaking year for our annual Tournament of Miracles Golf Scramble. Nearly 50 area businesses and individuals came together for a fun filled day of golf, raising $49,725.
- Expanding our Higgins Heroes comfort pack program in Spring 2020, we have begun providing sensory friendly activity bags to pediatric patients with sensory disorders. The packs bring comfort and a welcome distraction to these patients while they seek care.
Moving into 2021, we are looking forward to the promise of brighter days, continued support of our partners and community, and making more miracles!
